Pelosi? "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

Many were shocked at the stupidity of this statement, which is now famous these days, by Speaker Nancy Pelosi in 2010 during the passage of the (Un)Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare). This launched the era where our (s)elected officials just vote to pass bills without even reading them, they just do as they are told publicly and just vote along their party lines. It seems like the Right and Donald Trump adopted this same mindset and mentality when it came to passing the "One Big Beautiful Bill" in June 2025 where all the GOP except for a couple voted to pass it even though it was exposed to be adding $4 Trillion to the Nation's debt with additional military spending.
